Hear His Voice Uganda

We are a Non Goverment (charitable) organization serving the marginalized, less privileged hearing impaired children and their families.  We strive to meet the physical, spiritual, educational, and social-emotional needs of the individuals and to empower them to reach their full potential and active participating members of the community.

Hear His Voice Uganda was first conceptualized by a parent of profoundly deaf child, Elaine Gracious Asaba’webwa. Elaine was diagnosed with severe to profound hearing loss at the age of two and a half years, and she was at risk of never to access speech sounds necessary for developing the ability to learn to talk. After exhausting all available resources in Uganda and Kenya, Elaine traveled to the USA with her father in search for specialized professional intervention... CLICK HERE to read more.

What we do

Education

In spite of the physical needs of less privileged and poor deaf children we recognize that each child is a unique individual with unique learning and developmental needs.  We seek to provide education for children as early as possible, starting with pre-primary school services through primary school age.

The pedagogy will  provide a secure, caring and accommodative environment that will not only inspire but challenge the curiosity of the young minds of these children to thrive to their full potential.

Our emphasis is to encourage early acquisition and building of strong language and communication skills for the children and to educate and challenge families and communities to provide a secure environment for the development of whole child.

Medical Services

Hear His Voice Uganda endeavors to advance specialized medical services for children with hearing loss.  This includes the provision of routine services for overall  health and wellness: general exams, audiology (hearing tests, otoscopic exams, programming hearing aids), speech and language pathology

Our future goals also will include surgical services.
