As  father of two daughters, I am always surrounded with the blessing of their tender love and care. But at the same time, I am congnizant of the risks and dangers they face daily as girls.  I am even more aware of the unique needs that my first born has for being deaf.  As a deaf girl in a culture that sees girls as second class,  and views deafness as an abomination it puts her two steps behind the conventional life style of her peers.  That is not acceptable!  

 

I am motivated and will strive to  provide a safe and secure home for them  and to cultivate an environmnet where they will all feel accepted for who they are and are treated with dignity and empathy.  I am also willing  to take an extra mile and engange the community and  families like mine to soar above the social stigma we face in our attempt to help our children to pursue their full portential.
